Growing up I was a glasses-wearing bookworm who loved playing the piano and clarinet – I even played in the marching band at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario.

In the summers I spent a lot of time in and around Georgian Bay, where I learned to canoe and sail at quite a young age.

And later on, I taught my own kids how to canoe.

I’m definitely a dog person and have had Labrador retrievers as long as I can remember - Sam and Piper

and Sandy

and Franklinstein

and now sweet Rosie who loves her stuffies

When I’m not writing or walking my dog, I love to travel all over the world.

Thanks for dropping by.
